The LBians are an all-girl band from Long Beach comprised of 4 stellar musicians: Amber Boyd-Young (lead singer), Kris Thomas (lead guitar), Tina Stephenitch (bass guitar/vocals) and Carole Maducdoc (drums). Using a unique blend of alternative rock and soul, their sound captivates the audience and creates an irresistible vibe that takes the listener back to the early days. From Joan Jett to Adele, to U2, these four girls have a rhythm that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, begging for more.

Future Loves Past
Soul-pop band Future Loves Past have been busy in the last couple of years. They released their debut album All The Luscious Plants last year, and followed it up with the Our Solar System EP released this spring. They’re back again with a new EP, Hold On Tight, and they’ll be at CMJ in New York City this October playing several showcases. Future Loves Past is a six-piece sci-fi/soul/pop band originating in Tempe, AZ and now bridging from Tempe to Long Beach and Los Angeles. Since its inception, the band has become a fixture in the Phoenix music scene, both for their unique and rich sound, as well as their dynamic onstage presence. The band’s core members include lead singer and bassist Eric Palmer, guitarist Tristan DeDe, keyboardist Sean Wintrow and drummer Enrique Naranjo. Sarah Hibner and Jacob Tulsi cushion the band’s live sound by contributing vocals as well as providing additional keys and percussion. Future Loves Past has earned a reputation for their DIY approach to everything from their eccentric live shows to their homemade animated music videos (by Tristan DeDe) and entirely original artwork (by Eric Palmer). The band plans on expanding this EP into a full-length release expected in Spring 2015. Hold On Tight EP by Future Loves PastAccording to the band, the EP’s title means to hold on tight for the ride and see where life takes you–never give up. The vocals on the title track are a little gritty and imbued with a powerful sense of emotion that belies the upbeat, almost poppy tempo. The following two tabs … READ MORE
