Being Long Beach born and raised I have had the opportunity to be exposed to tons of great music over the years. From underground hip hop, punk and reggae, to the likes of Snoop Dogg, The Vandals, and of course Long Beach legends Sublime, the LBC has produced some of the most influential talent of the past 10 years. Recently the guys at Cornerstone RAS took on the huge project of putting together a tribute to reggae-punk rockers Sublime that would be one for the books. The Sublime Tribute Album, which is set to release June 21st, has an all-star line up with some great tracks featuring artists like No Doubt, Los Lobos, Jack Johnson, and Pennywise. To celebrate this grand occasion LBPP’s June FADED FRIDAY’S will be in honor of this prolific band and the tribute that the local music scene has put together for them. Come down to Cohiba Nightclub & Cigar Lounge early on the 24th to grab a drink, hear the cuts from the new album, as well as all your favorite Sublime jams, and get FADED the rest of the night.

Cornerstone RAS will hold an all-ages release concert at The Vault 350 on the 20th, $25 gets you in the door, a CD, and a poster. If you wanna hear some of the tracks from the album you can check out the Sublime Tribute MySpace page, or to get involved with this project sign up for the official Street Team to get your album free.
