I have always been a big fan of bands that find creative and unique ways to promote themselves and this video that Mike from Research Material sent us is an awesome little claymation promo video for their upcoming show this Sunday November, 21st at Alex’s Bar with local band Centrevol. Claymation is pretty cool, it takes me back to kindergarten and making stuff out of playdough. The animation is sweet, but the bands music is what you really don’t want to miss. After giving them a solid listen their style of indie electro-pop reminds me of summer break from school with tunes that are fun to dance to.
On the same bill is Long Beach based Centrevol, who’s song “Don’t Hear Me Wrong” was just featured on VRadio/indieVTV in Las Vegas, NV, and new wave pop-rockers Parade of Lights, and Faces of Radio. A pretty killer show for only $3, so its worth it to go dance your ass off on a Sunday night because the show starts early at 7pm.
