Di Piazza’s is a Long Beach staple that has been serving up great food with even better music for over 20 years. First starting off as the Lava Lounge inside of the infamous Java Lanes the current location is off PCH and Anaheim and they still sever up the best pizza/music combo in town!
The infamous owner, Mark Di Piazza’s, is one of the best live music venue owners in the city. He is fair to bands, knows good music like he knows good pizza, and has been supporting local music for longer then anyone in Long Beach I can think of. Mark has truly made Di Piazza’s a family friendly destination where even the younger crowd can come to be exposed to great music, which is damn hard to find in this city for some reason.
I find myself often staring at the slew of fantastic posters that adorn the walls from shows past. Some of the best in the business have played at Di Piazza’s and we could go into a HUGE list, but why not just head down there yourself to check out Mark’s aweomse poster collection and if you are lucky enough to meet the man himself perhaps he will share a story or two.
The crowd is a very local, but also draws from afar depending on what acts are booked. No matter what day of the week it is, there seems to always be something interesting and eclectic happening at Di Piazza’s. If you have a taste for great pizza and even better music then head over to Di Piazza’s and they will treat you right!

Stage: Their stage is small, 5 can fit but not very comfortably. The sound is great at Di Piazza’s with a dedicated sound man on most days.[adrotate banner=”4″]
