ZEN ROBBI

Lovely in the middle- An Acoustic Collection

Lovely in the middle– Organic, Catchy, & Lovely. With a trip in the right direction is where this title song starts you off through this amazing acoustic collection from Zen Robbi.

Cornucopia – This tune is super relaxed & mellow. The guys really put their kick back shoes on for this album & are bringing a nice soft melodic sound to the long beach scene.

Revolution Avenue (Mexicoma) – Take a trip to old Mexicali through the vibes of this mellow dance feel tune. The horns successfully & beautifully transport you to another time & place. A sweet melody reminiscent of early refreshments.

Dance with me – “My Angel Love, my angel love!” Bring it down for a minute for a pretty little love song entitled “Dance with Me”, A very reggae-esque feel to this one. I dare you to try & not smile while this song is playing. Aint Happening.

Lover’s Cove – Bring it back to 1959 with this cool little throw back in Lovers Cove. Beautifully written & brought to life with that with the signature Robbi sound that is amplified by the clear cool guitar riffs in this tune.

Champagne – Brilliant piano work in this tune stands out in this party tune! You feel urged to have as much fun as possible wherever you may be & whatever you may be doing while listening to this song.

Chingale – Get ready for a kick it sess with this one. Classic Mic D vocals bring this song to life & walk you through a quick story… Chingale!

Moustaches are good for business – LMFAO!!!

St. Dangerously – A bit of Yoddling to start ya off? Yes sir, you got it here. Gotta love this up tempo diddy that makes you sing along IMMEDIATELY, a slightly country feel, & yet again ZR so makes it their own!

Bygones – Take a load off with this last tune that truly is acoustic. The lyrics to this tune are awesome. Take a listen get ready to laugh & simply enjoy. ZR goes completely unplugged for this one. It’s like a nice cool down after a good workout you feel like you got a lot out of.

With ZR so effortlessly stepping into the acoustic light on this fun one, they have in a word… succeeded.  I along with many others I am sure have found this album bringing a fun soundtrack to whatever the business of the day may be. Mic D, & ZR fly you with a seamless transition through time & genres while still sitting in the living room of Zen Robbi. They not only bring their own twist to other genres but seem to take the actual genre & shape & mold it at will to their own & what they see it as. This album is a work of art. A fantastic ride for any genre music fan & I will be taking it again very shortly. & trust me when I say… That, no time will be too soon to press play again. It sure is “Lovely in the Middle”!
