Jeremy and Jannie here from the Long Beach Music Guild. Our show pick this week is at a new Long Beach venue, The Blacklight District Lounge. It might just be the next big venue for up and coming bands in Long Beach to play at. On Saturday, May 18th, Long Beach bands, These Are Villains, The Circus Kids and Fathers & Suns will be performing. These Are Villains and The Circus Kids are high energy rock and roll, with a touch of blues. Definitely check them out if you’re into The White Stripes, The Black Keys and The Kills. Fathers & Suns are an indie psych folk band who never seem to disappoint. Their shows keep getting better and better. Their talent is endless. This one is not to be missed!

I started the Long Beach Music Guild early this year because I found a lack of information on local shows. I wanted to create a central space where we could post shows in advance and give local musicians a place to network and promote. I have many projects planned for the Long Beach Music Guild in the future and are happy to be able to work with the Long Beach Independent to further promote the local music scene.
