pick_of_the_week

Jeremy and Jannie here from The Long Beach Music Guild! With the whirlwind that was Pride and Memorial Day, perhaps we can tempt your palette with a softer side of Long Beach. This week’s show pick features Eva and the Vagabond Tales, Alfred Hernandez, and Nathan Rivera.

The incomparable Miss Alyssandra Nighswonger has booked a wonderful show this week at Viento y Aqua on Friday May 31st at 7pm.

Eva and the Vagabond Tales hail from Riverside and bring to you a sound that could easily be featured in The Triplets of Belleville or be Beirut’s little sister band. Influences of 1920’s ragtime, Russian Folk and pop pepper this sound ever so sweetly…in a word Darling.

Nathan Rivera is what we like to describe as gypsy 1920’s Cat Stevens…how could you not love that?

So put on some fancy pants, put down that cocktail, head down to Viento, pick up that delicious coffee and sit back for what should prove to be an eclectic night of great music. You heard us! Be sure to arrive early as shows here tend to start on time and you don’t want to miss a thing!

Check out the bands here and always support your local music scene!

About the Author

Jeremy Stilgenbauer

I started the Long Beach Music Guild early this year because I found a lack of information on local shows. I wanted to create a central space where we could post shows in advance and give local musicians a place to network and promote. I have many projects planned for the Long Beach Music Guild in the future and are happy to be able to work with the Long Beach Independent to further promote the local music scene.
