Most indie bands produce their own music therefore they don’t have a marketing team to promote their music. This makes it more difficult for bands in this genre to be heard because they need to work doubly hard to get radio air plays, TV appearances, and magazine features. The dream of any indie band is to get on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, but you need to have extraordinary talent or have to be extremely famous for that to happen. If you are still a striving band, then here are some unconventional ways on how to promote your music:

Bingo Events

Who would have thought that bingo events can be a good place to play? Long Beach has a vibrant bingo scene and you can find bingo halls nearby including Looff’s, which is located along Long Beach Boulevard. This bingo hall is equipped with modern bingo equipment and hosts events as well. You can participate in any of their events or look for charity bingo events where you can perform. Some people prefer playing bingo online because it is more accessible. Aside from the traditional bingo games, there are some bingo websites like CheekyBingo that offer chat games. You can also share your music with the players that you meet in the chat rooms. If you win the jackpot, then you can finally hire an experienced marketing manager to promote your music!

Beach Concerts

Summer is here so most of the people hang out at the beach. That is the perfect place to beat the heat and let the people cool off with your music. Several music festivals are held near the beach or lagoon including the Long Beach Jazz Festival. If there’s no event that day, your band can jam in a crowded place like along the Rainbow Harbor Esplanade.

So what are you waiting for? Start packing your musical instruments and play for the people!
