Hillgrass Bluebilly So. Cal has been bringing some great local and regional artist to Alex’s Bar on a somewhat monthly basis, as well as co-producing the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival with us and a few others.  While they focus mostly on Roots music they decided to step just a little outside the box to bring you a Blues Rock & Roll show at Alex’s Bar this Saturday, October 12th starting at 8pm.

The lineup features the acclaimed hardest working band in San Diego, Lady Dottie & the Diamonds and Heavy Blues Rock & Roll duo from Vancouver, Canada, The Pack AD.  Lady Dottie & The Diamonds have been called “The Street Version of Etta James“, and a quick listen of their music and it certainly sums up the style, but you have to see them live! In addition, three supporting acts are set to blow the roof off of Alex’s – Them Howling Bones  (Los Angeles), Two Wolves (San Diego), and Dano Forte’s Juke Joint Freakshow  (Orange County). The show will bring together five acts that each have one foot in the blues and one foot somewhere else out in the hillgrass.
