the_brit_posterRIOTstage, Long Beach’s new Rock and Roll Theater company, is doing their second fundraising concert, “The Brit”. This time around they are doing songs exclusively by British artists. For the first half, they will be doing a wildly eclectic group of songs by The Kinks, Amy Winehouse, Radiohead, Queen, David Bowie, Squeeze, Depeche Mode, The Streets, Led Zeppelin, Kate Bush, The Clash and Pink Floyd. For the second half, they will be doing the entire Beatles “Abbey Road” album, front to back. Yep!

They are also bringing back a lot of the same singers and musicians that were in the last concert, “The Storyteller”. Joining them on stage are: Mark Torromeo, Ellen Warkentine, Joshua Fischel, Elizabeth Messick, Cassandra B. Ward, Jon Swain, Kris Bradley, Jared Andrews, Jon Zell, Rachel Albright, Justin Iannelli, Mr. Crumb, Kyle Merrill, Greggory Moore, Vince Gutierrez, Matthew Proffitt, Sean Rainey, Alexander Bradley, Brandon Baker, Laura Merryfield, and Sumner LeVeque.

They are doing the concert two nights in row on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th. On both nights, doors open for a killer art show at 6pm. They will also have Zack Walters (3rd Alley) playing an acoustic set of British tunes on Saturday the 14th from 7:10pm to 7:30 and the concert will start right at 8pm. Drinks and snacks will be available.
