fart_barf_cd_releaseA bunch of circuit bending monkeys will invade Alex’s Bar tonight, March 3rd for local band Fartbarft’s record release show for their new album “Dirty Power”. If you are not familiar with Fartbarf, I feel their personal manifesto pretty much sums up the band nicely.

Fartbarf Manifesto:
1. Set public expectations low, but keep internal standards high.

2. Attempt only to please yourself – if others choose like it, so be it.

3. Avoid all trends. Nothing good ever comes from following them.

4. Create what others cannot easily duplicate (and probably would’t want to anyway).

5. Everything fun mustn’t always be Fartbarf, but everything Fartbarf must always be fun.

Of course don’t forget about the amazing support they will have at the show which includes Restavrant (who recently played the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival), as well as LBI favorite Bella Novela, and all girl power trio Bombon.
