With the 2nd annual Long Beach Folk Revival Festival less than two weeks away a lucky select few got to preview a 2 acts from the festival at Fingerprints Records. Skin and Bones took to the small book room stage first and surprised the audience with the vocal dynamics and suitcase drum playing of Taylor Borsuk also on guitar and vocals while fiddle player
Peter Blackwelder blended in well crafted solos that were unique and engaging and you can truly feel the passion with which he plays.

creekwood4To round out the night the boys from Creekwood played a set of select songs and really seemed to get the crowd excited for their performance at this years festival. All of these guys sing, but lead vocalist Andrew McBride has a smooth way of delivering their Americana inspired lyrics while banjo player Cooper Nelson picks along. With Mathias Chaidez on fiddle the leads really shine through each song and Rob Orr and Levi Duren keep the rhythm rockin’.

With a preview this good the Folk Revival Festival is sure to be a great time full of some amazingly talented musicians and maybe a square dance or two!
