TSA_lbiFIRST, LAST, & ALWAYS is a weekly series that aims to give readers a quick introduction to some of the talented and hardworking musicians and changemakers defining the Long Beach music scene.

Meet one of Long Beach’s brightest stars, Tokotah Skye Ashcraft.

If you do not already know her, you might be familiar with some of her award winning work.  As the Creative Director of the event production company and artist management firm FALLING MIRRORS COLLECTIVE Ashcraft and her team have been producing some of the most innovative shows and grassroots festivals happening in Long Beach in the last few years.  If you have enjoyed the abundance of art and live music during FIRST FRIDAYS you have benefited from Ashcraft’s dual roles as Coordinator of the event for the BIXBY KNOLLS BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION and as Curator of the EXPO Arts Center.  Ashcraft also serves as the LONG BEACH MUSIC COUNCIL‘s Bixby Knolls Area Representative and heads up the Policy Committee. As if all of the above did not keep her busy enough, Ashcraft also makes time to contribute to LONG BEACH INDEPENDENT  by posting her best show picks every week.
