Remember The Moderates? We first posted about them in 2013 with their album “Colour” which made our Top 10 Local Albums of 2013 and while the band has since broken up, lead singer Josh Taylor has been hard at work in the studio and his new project is set to light the local scene on fire on its way up.

half•alive formed in 2016 in Long Beach, CA.  The independent band started as the product of a 50-song challenge that Josh Taylor, the band’s leader and principle song writer had completed in early 2016.  Josh wrote 50 songs in hopes of improving his skill as a songwriter.  With the help of drummer, Brett Kramer and Grammy nominated producer James Krausse, a few of the songs came alive in the Mojave Desert, inside a helicopter hanger that had been redesigned as a recording studio, where the band recorded its debut EP.  “the fall” is number 41 on the 50 song list, and is the first single from a 3 song debut EP, being released for free, exclusively through all streaming sites.
