William J. Sullivan, “Chapter IV:  Memo” Press Release

“Chapter IV:  Memo” is the fourth and final E.P. of composer, producer and engineer William J. Sullivan’s “Chapters” Collection.

Trying a different approach with this release, I want you to know that I’m William J. Sullivan, I independently run Wreckin’ Joint Productions on top of professionally Engineering full time.  I’ll skip that list of names because this Press Release isn’t about that, it’s about my E.P. “Memo”.

Previous to this, I released 3 instrumental EP’s that lead up to my fourth  and final one, “Memo”.  This  one was a difficult project for me because it’s the only one I’ve done vocals on and a lot of the subject matter is very personal.  The first track “Dope Lives” deals with my cousin passing away when I was 18.  “Grand” is about a significant relationship I had that fell apart and deeply affected me for years.  “End of August” is an apology for being an awful person to someone 13 years ago.  “King” is about a brief relationship I had with a recovering alcoholic as well as my own issues with alcohol.  “Make the Sickness…” is my version of a song I did with Curly Castro and Zilla Rocca.  This differs from the version Zilla released on his album, “Future Former Rapper”.  Initially I intended for it to be about testing on prisoners in Philadelphia.  Once I cut my vocals and gave them the track, the subject changed and became more of an anthem for our hometown, Philadelphia.
