“‘Family’ honors the LGBTQ community family structures. In the struggle for self-identity, many individuals build new families. These families are very important and valuable. These families are not necessarily by blood or tradition but by the connections made with people. These are strong bonds that extend beyond blood lines. This art exhibition honors these support structures, relationships, connections, and friendships.”
